Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.
Who can get a card
Anyone living in the city limits of Hillsboro, Illinois are entitled to a library card. Non-residents of Hillsboro are required to pay a non-resident fee of $22.00 per year for a family library card.
How to Get Your Card
Please bring your drivers license,power bill or rent receipt that reflect your current residence. If you live outside city limits of Hillsboro you will have to purchase a non-resident card in the amount of $22.00 per family.
Borrowing Limits
We do have a limit of ten books per-family. Please speak with the director if you need to increase the limit.
Placing Holds
Staff members will place a hold on materials upon request from patron in person or by call the library. 217-532-3055.

Library Fines
Fines are ten cents per-day
